Research
Intergenerational learning is underused because the learning needs of generations are often seen as incompatible (Burr and Hanley, 2018; Majhanovich and Savoie-Zajc, 2019).
Erasmus+ · KA210-ADU · 2026-2028
Young people teach digital skills. Seniors teach sustainable practices. Together they design solutions for their communities.

The problem
Research
Intergenerational learning is underused because the learning needs of generations are often seen as incompatible (Burr and Hanley, 2018; Majhanovich and Savoie-Zajc, 2019).
EU policy
The EU twin transition asks that no one is left behind.
What JOINT does
Youth co-design a curriculum on 4 digital competences: basic digital skills, digital entrepreneurship, digital communication and collaboration, and digital creativity. They then train seniors.
Seniors co-design a curriculum on 6 sustainable practices: agriculture, crafts, health and wellbeing, water management, upcycling and recycling, and travel. They then train young people.
Youth-senior pairs meet for 10 weekly sessions. Together they design one digital and sustainable solution for their community.
The whole method, written up step by step. Any organisation in Europe can use it to run JOINT.
